First at the summer race in Frassinoro

Lora Hristova won the women’s race at the Frassinoro Summer Biathlon Festival on 27 June, the first summer event of the season, in Emilia-Romagna. She went into the final as the favourite and held off Estonia’s Susan Kuelm’s attack on the closing stretch.

The final was a mass start over five laps of about a kilometre and a half each, with four shooting stages. All five finalists missed on the first stage. Third place went to home athlete Birgit Schoelzhorn.
